Create your own handmade ceramic clock using hand-building techniques and colorful clay decorations.

In this beginner-friendly studio experience, you will shape a ceramic clock base by hand and decorate it with colored clay. Students can choose from a variety of colored clay options to create patterns, shapes, numbers, or decorative details for their clock design.

Each student will create one ceramic clock piece during the workshop.

Workshop Includes:

• 2-hour studio experience
• 2 lbs of white clay
• Up to 5 colors of colored clay included
• Access to 20+ colored clay options
• Hand-building clock project
• Clear glaze included
• Firing included for one piece under 7.5 inches
• Studio assistance as needed

Additional Materials & Pieces:

• Extra clay can be purchased separately in studio.
• Additional colored clay may be available for an extra fee.
• Oversized pieces may have an additional fee based on size.

This is one of our most beginner-friendly hand-building workshops. No experience is needed. Our studio staff will help you get started and assist throughout the process as needed.

Coloring & Glazing Options:

This workshop includes colored clay decoration and clear glaze.

If you would still like to add more color using underglaze painting techniques, you may book a second coloring session for $25, usually about 2 weeks after your first session.

Please note: ceramic pieces cannot be taken home the same day. Your piece will need to dry, be fired in the kiln, and be finished with clear glaze. We will notify you when it is ready for pickup. The full firing and finishing process usually takes 3–4 weeks.
