Colored Slip Casting Workshop: $105 per person

Create a colorful ceramic piece using colored clay slip.

In this beginner-friendly studio experience, you will use different colors of clay slip to decorate and form a shallow plate or decorative ceramic piece. 

Very beginner-friendly.Students can squeeze, layer, and draw with colored clay slip to create patterns and designs directly in the piece. Since the color is part of the clay, no additional painting session is needed.

Workshop Includes:

• 2-hour studio experience
• Use of colored clay slip
• Use of plaster molds
• Create up to 2 pieces during class
• Firing included for one piece under 7.5 inches
• Clear glaze included
• Studio assistance as needed

Additional Pieces & Oversize Work:

• One fired piece under 7.5 inches is included.
• Additional pieces can be fired for $45 each.
• Oversized pieces will have an additional fee based on size.
• The maximum size available for this workshop is approximately 16 inches.

This experience is beginner-friendly and no experience is needed. Our studio staff will help you get started and assist throughout the process as needed.

Please note: ceramic pieces cannot be taken home the same day. Your piece will need to dry, be fired in the kiln, and be finished with clear glaze. We will notify you when it is ready for pickup. The full firing and finishing process usually takes 3–4 weeks.
